Fostering Women's Leadership: Enhancing Inclusivity and Empowering The Organisation through Diverse Voices.
“As a women’s network, we were thoughtful in needing to rethink our approach to driving sustainable and impactful change. We engaged Ashley to help us introduce the topic of Allyship to our members and ‘future’ allies for the first time. She really helped us to find a voice through some very complex subject matter, find a way to story-tell, and bring conversation to life that emotionally connected and inspired participants at a human level.
Ashley helped us turn a moment into a movement”

The challenge
International Women's Day serves as a celebration of the numerous women in the world of business and leadership.
It presents an opportunity for organizations and leaders to direct their focus toward the subject of women in business and leadership. For many, this should extend beyond a single day and become an ongoing business priority, consistently at the forefront of any organization's communication strategy.
How could we transition from a solitary day of recognition to an entire month filled with experiences, engagements, and communication that empowers this conversation, effectively transforming it into a movement?
In current times, the conversation around women in the workplace has evolved to encompass a much broader spectrum of topics. For us, the challenge lay in aligning with our organisational values and authentically representing the diverse voices within Nike and Converse, all while maintaining a sustained, month-long conversation that garners support from senior leaders and employees.
This multifaceted task had to simultaneously educate, raise awareness, and foster engagement across the entire organization.

The approach
Our efforts were centred on a unifying theme, enabling us to seamlessly coordinate activities and bring together a diverse group of participants, including external speakers, senior leaders, employees, professionals, and various divisions. This unified focus on a single overarching topic was instrumental in facilitating meaningful discussions throughout the entire month.
The central theme for our project was "Allyship," as part of International Women's Month. By "Allyship," we aimed to explore how we could consistently support one another and gain a deeper understanding of the myriad challenges faced by different groups of women within our organization.
Our project featured an impressive array of activities, including talks, panel discussions, workshops, training sessions, and communications initiatives, all held throughout the month. These activities provided a platform for a diverse range of voices to contribute, offering different perspectives and viewpoints on the topic of Allyship.
